Life is AWESOME!!

Hi All! Hope this most recent blog post finds all of you well and looking forwward to the summer. I know we sure are, this rain is really putting a damper on things, no pun intended :o)
Katelyn was recently baptized and my mom and grandpa (kate's GREAT-grandpa) were able to make it. It was such a wonderful day for all of us, and so special to welcome Katelyn into our Catholic faith. I hope she will always remember that when all else fails she can always count on the Lord as Dan and I have many times. She is living proof that God does answer prayers!!
Anyway...Our little darling has started eating rice cereal in the last few days and it is a MESS but so cute to watch her discover more things she can put in her mouth. At first she wasn't a fan of the rice cereal but once I added some bananas to the mix she loved it! We are going really slow with the solids since Dan has/had so many allergies and since she seems to take after her daddy in that area I don't want to be caught in an emergency.
Hope you all enjoy the pics!!
Love and hugs to you all!!

Hellllooooo!!! Well sping is almost here and we went to the tulip festival for the first time this year. the fun thing about having a baby is that you are required to do these things now. I wish Katelyn were a bit bigger so we could have taken better pictures of her but next year will be great. Speaking of Katelyn...she is getting SOOOOOO big! She is finally starting to out some meat on her bones. We go back to the ped (I always mess up and say the vet!) in a few weeks so I'll be interested in knowing what her weight is up to. She wants to put everything in her mouth and likes to grab anything she can get her hands on. Even the dog, but if the dog is close enough then I guess she deserves it. Kate can roll over from her tummy to her back really good but can only go from her back to her tummy some of the time. She isn't the biggest fan of tummy time so I guess thats the reasoning behind that! I recently went back to work and Pat and Mary have been watching Katelyn a few of the days I work. I know Kate enjoys it and I am pretty sure nana & papa enjoy it too! Hope you enjoy the pics, I have more but they will have to wait, I hear a crying baby....

I know, I'm terrible at updating this thing...

Well it's been about a month since I last updated. I am getting ready to go back to work in a week, which I am NOT looking forward to. Kate is growing up so quick, she seems to get longer each day but she is still skinny as can be! Just like her daddy :) She is doing her best to try and roll over, shes made it twice now but I thnk it was more of an accident, she usually just ends up on her side drooling. She is "talking" alot more now, she likes to hear how loud she can get sometimes I think and as much as everyone says how quiet she is I just don't feel the same way! She is so dang cute though! Anyway, we are just enjoying her everyday, she is such a special and beautiful little girl, we are so very blessed to have her. Peace and blessings to all of you!

Well I'm back! It's been a crazy few weeks so we have pretty much just been in survival mode, but hopefully things are on the up swing. It's amazing to me how much babies need to learn that we as adults take for granted, like pooping or passing gas when we want to! Katelyn is growing like a weed, and by that I mean a long skinny weed! The girl just keeps getting taller but not much wider, which I know she will appreciate when she gets older. She must have gotten the skinny gene from her daddy, thank goodness. She still has her crazy Don King hair, it doesn't matter what I do to it, it just won't stay down but it's cute either way. She started smiling back at us a few weeks ago and it is so awesome. It just warms my heart when I pick her up in the morning and she has a big gummy smile on her face for me. It just melts me! Katelyn also is enjoying her "big sister" Scooter and I think Scooter has finally gotten somewhat used to Katelyn as well, as she will occasionally just lay down next to her and snuggle. Kate is not at all bothered by the dog, she doesn't even flinch when Scooter goes crazy barking or licks her face, she just smiles away! I really hope Scooter will be around long enough for Katelyn to really get to know her. Anyway, here are some more pics of our little darling, enjoy!
